For this year (and maybe more years to come) I'll be living in this comfy little house down at Beeston Road, Dunkirk of Nottingham.

When I just came, I didn't really like my room. It's not so huge so I was wondering how I could put all my stuff in here. But Mom did wonders to this room~ By wonders, i mean making it very homey in a matter of days. I instantly love my room here. Thanks Mummy for buying all those "little" bibs and bobs (i.e extra full length mirror, ceiling-high wardrobe etc) making my room oh-so-lovely~ ♥

Mummy and Aunty left Nottingham for London today.. Their flights early morning tomorrow. Mum and Aunt came with me and cousin Amis to UK, making sure we settled down and everything.

The house feels empty now without them... It's time to be independent now, for real.

University officially started today. It's fresher's week though which means no studying (seriously) yet. It also means, time to meet and greet and socialise and make new friends.

It's all good. but smiling a lot can be super exhausting.

Family's here, in the UK. with us~ =)

Alton Towers:

Below is the scariest ride for me at Alton Towers i think. It's called 'oblivion'. We were dropped like at a 90 degrees. very vertical.

We were on there.

That's the hole we went into. I call it the black hole.

Below is another ride, called 'air'. They positioned us in a way that we were lying on our front, strapped back tight on the chair. I loved it. It's my favourite ride among all. Cuz I really feel like Superman.

Anyway, They're here cuz my sis is graduating. It's been fun. It's like a holiday now that they're here. However it is why I'm still not back in Brunei yet. We'll only be going back on the 19th of July.. Few days spent in UK, then after sis's graduation, we'll be going to Paris! Then back home Brunei! As fun as it may sound, travelling and all.. frankly speaking, i cannot wait to go back Brunei. =(

It's a girl!

Born on the 9th of April, this beautiful baby girl breathed her first breath.

She is Ajiz's new baby sister~

I was lucky to be around when she was born. Got a chance to visit her on that day.

Although she was very fast asleep.

She's so very fragile.. so..delicate.. Gives people
around her the tendency to be protective.

Adib visited as well =)

She was quickly known as "Sarah", a short nickname for Qaisarah, which is a beautiful name.

Dunno why but she's always asleep every time I came by to visit..

There is another volcanic eruption which sends another cloud of ash in the Europe skies. I thought last night, that British Airports will be re-opened, and the ban lifted as of today, but... there is a change of plan.

So here's the thing....

I AM STILL IN BRUNEI!!

Supposed to go back yesterday, Sunday 18th of April and arrive UK today the 19th. Supposed to take the train back from London to York and arrive Mount School on time. But noooo...~ because of the..

ICELAND VOLCANIC ERUPTION

my flight was canceled! Well, not only mine to be fair, but other hundred thousand flights too.. People are getting frustrated: stranded in foreign countries, sleeping at airports, fully booked land transportation, and aren't being able to return to home country.... Feel sorry for them.. :(

As for me? Well, I don't mind being stranded in Brunei. HAHA! i mean, i'm quite happy in fact! I know i'm missing few days of school, and Mocks which will be starting tomorrow..

But hey!

First of all, I've got extended holiday! Who wouldn't WANT that?

Secondly, I am NOT prepared for mocks. This being said honestly from depth of heart. (apakan..) But yeah. Maybe some extra revision times while I'm here? (just, maybe..)

Thirdly, I was feeling VERY ILL yesterday, so quite glad I didn't have to fly off last night. Or not my condition would worsen I might guess. Spent the whole day sleeping today..

So yeah, many plus sides to it. In my opinion that is. Although I promise myself I would work my ass off once I settle down at school. I seriously should, to payback all the slacking I've done this Easter Hol's. =(

Read some news in the net about it and it was mentioned that the ban will be lifted off tomorrow. UK airports may start to re-open and flights resume. Check it out here:

Traffic Light Party was held on a Saturday night, 3rd of April. Location : KBBC.

So what do the colours we wore mean?

RED -- STOP > in love/taken/don't even think about it
YELLOW -- CAUTION > open to flings/risk-taker/maybe baby
GREEN -- GO > single/100% available/go for it

And yes, the party was WILD!

Ajiz's 19th Surprise Birthday Party

It was quite challenging organizing from the other end of the globe, moreover with my lack of experience in throwing a surprise party; this was my first. With the help of his bestfriends, we managed to make it happened. =D

We counted and compared among us the number of bruises we had. I had a very big one on the knee, cuz i like to slide a lot. =p Strained muscles too. Every movement hurt the next day, I was in agony! But still, that won't stop me from wanting to do it again! Hell yeah! \m/

It is organized yearly by BruBirm so if you're going to UK (or already there!) this is something you HAVE to do!

Easter Holiday!

I'm back in Brunei y'all~! (Y)

Travelled back home alone, but I'm used to it. Although I could use a hand (or two!) to hold on tightly to when the plane experienced turbulence. (scary.. T.T)

I must say I am getting quite proud with RBA services. Good services and very friendly staff. Keep it up!

The only thing I was not so happy about is the punctuality. I should be arriving at 10.30am but got out of the airport at noon! ( also, isn't it frustrating when it seems like everyone has got their luggage but yours takes forever to appear on the conveyor belt?! happens to me everytime..)

Felt so sorry for my family, for waiting and sweating outside. =(

3 weeks holiday yeah? Jalan2 + Studying are on the agenda. ( hopefully, for the latter..)

A Strong Heart

"So, anyone interested in volunteering?" Mrs. Ambrey- the head of college asked to the group of College 2 girls, sitting around looking uninterested, except for a girl or two.

The moment Arene heard the word 'volunteering' she did not hesitate to raise up her hand. Don't know what's with her and volunteering lately. Out of kindness? maybe.. but it also has something to do with obtaining the glorious v50 certificate, another addition to her achievements.

So then together with her other 3 friends, half-reluctantly, she was on her way to Acomb, towards the York old people cares or something.

"Are you okay?" CL asked her, as they walked side-by-side together.
"Yeah, i'm fine.. It's just the cold. It's giving me headache.." Arene replied.

Rats, she thought. Not only she was out in the cold winter air, she might also miss the College 1 Pantomime, playing later that afternoon. She planned to just spend a few minutes volunteering then go back to school, hopefully in time for pantomime.

When they arrived at the place, Jewels ring the bell.

"Hello?" someone's voice came out of the speak through thing, on the door.
"Hey, umm.. We're here for volunteering?" Jewels said to the speaker.
"Oh right, I'll let you in then."

So they were ushered into the house and brought into the living room. The sight took Arene by surprise. There were dozens of chairs, arranged against the left and right of the walls. Seated in them were very old people, of different looks and conditions. Some were smiling, some were talking, and some were not even aware of what's happening around them. Besides the occupants of the house, there were also some young people like us, already seated and keeping some of the old people accompanied. So, Arene figured she should do the same.

Arene grabbed a chair and took a seat in front of three aged women. She said hi and made small talks with them - well, to be exact, just the woman in the middle. One of them just looked at them talking and the other would not even look at Arene. From talking to the middle woman, she figured out that she's been to S'pore, German etc. Bless her, she tried to include the other woman who wouldn't even look at Arene. But most of the time, she complained. She said at this age, she could not do what she used to do when she was young. Arene did not know how to respond to that.

"Why don't you go and talk to the other people. They may have different story to tell." the middle woman told Arene.
"Oh, right," she said, and looked around the room. Then she heard the 'not-looking' woman said to the middle woman, "This is a disappointment. I was expecting singing or something."
Ouch, Arene thought. She felt totally hopeless then. She told them that she's a good dancer but that she wasn't prepared for this. So in the end, she gave up and stood up.

"Do you mind if I go and talk to the others?"
"No, go ahead." the middle woman said, still being kind.
"I want to go up now.." the 2nd woman said, as she tried to get up.
"Oh are you tired?" Arene asked as she helped her get up.
"No.. I just want to get out of here." she replied.

Oh shit. Arene was aware she wasn't doing her job properly. She just helped the old woman got up silently. What's her deal this woman? Arene shoved the guilty feeling to the back of her head and tried again. She looked around and saw an old lady by the very end, at the corner, not doing anything. She then moved to sit with her.

"Hi, I have not introduced myself to you yet. I'm Arene." she said and shook the old lady's fragile hand. "What's your name?"
"Cebil." she answered, smiling.
"So how are they treating you here?" Arene asked.
"huh?" Cebil said and leaned closer.
Arene said slowly this time, "How do you find it here? Is everything alright? The food and everything?"
"Yes2 they are fine dear, thank you. Are you doing well?" she asked Arene backm which is a surprise, pleasant.
"Yes im very good actually, thank you."

Then they made some small talks. Unlike before with the others, Arene talked fine with Cebil. Cebil kept mentioning that she's weary..
"Oh are you tired?" Arene said, concerned.
"No not tired. Just weary you know. Weary of life. But it's about time we retired," Cebil said, smiling still.

When they were both silent, Arene filled it quickly by complimenting her. She saw that her nails were nicely-shaped, painted with pink nail polish.
"Awww.. this is really nice~ I like the colour!" Arene exclaimed.
"Yes it is. The people here did it for us. It's lovely.." Cebil told her. Arene continued fiddling with Cebil's fingers and saw her rings on her finger.
"These are really pretty..." she said, admiring the really ancient, but pure-looking gold and silver rings.
"Yeah.. they were my engagement and wedding rings." Cebil smiled answering.
"Awww....~ they're very beautiful. They must have been here for a long time..." Arene cooed. And her heart reacted somehow. This woman had a great life before these years. "So do you have any family?" Arene asked before she could stop herself. She's scared that the topic may not be suitable.
"Yes I do. I have a daughter. She came to visit sometimes but we don't talk much you see. At this age, it was hard for us to communicate. I just asked how are you, how's your father doing.." she said, really slowly and kinda sad. Arene nodded understanding. Then a man came and offer them cakes and drinks. Arene just had cold water while Cebil took a really small glass of cherry juice or something.
"Cheers~" Cebil said, laughing a weak smile and Arene laughed along.
"Oh be careful with that," Arene said, helping the woman drink.
"Oh this is lovely.. thank you. I can manage, love." she said, smiling really big now.
Arene was more than happy to help. She pinched a small bit of the cake and gave it to her.
"What is it?" Cebil asked.
"It's chocolate cake. Try some of it first."
She seemed to like it because afterward , she took the whole cake and took a big bite. Arene smiled and they talked some more. They were talking very close. Arene's eyes went almost crossed. They were very very close that she sometimes only saw Cebil's right eye.

At one point, Cebil closed her eyes andd Arene thought she was in pain. But it turned out she was trying to sneeze as she was feeling around for tissue. Arene quickly took the tissue and gave it to her.
"Right on time," Cebil said, as she wiped her nose. Arene then saw a tissue tucked underneath her shirt. And she saw brown stain which look like dried blood or some kind of liquid.
"Does this hurt...?" Arene said, placing a hand gently on Cebil's stomach.
"Yes it does. Always.. But I learn to live with it you know. We just keep going on. The doctors came to check sometimes but they didn't tell me exactly what's going on with me." Cebil said. At that moment, Arene felt like bursting into tears. She admired this woman's courage and positive-thinking. Arene was quiet for a while but she held Cebil's hands tighter in hers. Cebil's responded by patting Arene's hands.

Arene tried to compose herself by taking Cebil's hand bag. And just rummaged through it, with Cebil's permission of course.
"I don't even remember what's in there," Cebil laughed. Arene saw her wallet, a spec case and a vaseline. Cebil has a spec but she does not wear it anymore. Arene did something inappropriate and took out her own vaseline from her pocket and showed it to Cebil.
"Look! I got a small one too!" and giggled stupidly. But Cebil lauged along. OK, that was unnecessary, Arene thought, and put the bag away.

Arene saw Cebil's old necklace and complimented that too. Running her hand along the beads of the necklace. Cebil just smiled and her hand was stroking her neck.
"Can you see it?" she asked Arene, as she continue to stoke the side of her white neck.
"what? there's nothing here." Arene answered but she stroked Cebil's neck as well,really gently. She felt a lump on there and felt sad again. "You really can't see anything." She looked at the lady's other side of the neck, "and there's none here at all." Arene babbled, just trying to make her feel better.
"Oh that feels nice..." Cebil said, seeming relaxed when Arene massaged the lump.
"Does it hurt...?" Arene asked again. She couldn't bear to see the old lady in pain.
"Yes it does, a little.. but what you're doing is nice~ Although, that's not what you are supposed to do here," Cebil laughed weakly, turning her head.
"No, no please! I am more than willing. I like doing it. I really don't mind," Arene said quickly and massaged Cebil's neck some more. Hoping she does not hurt the lady.
"Ahhh...~" Cebil sighed and closed her eyes. Arene's heart moved for that woman. She wanted to do everything she could to make her happy.

Then they talked some more and Cebil said, "This is really lovely... I can do this all day.." Cebil said to Arene holding her hands.
"Yes, me too. Seriously.." Arene answered and she was honest. Cebil told Arene she loved cooking, any kind of meat but she dislikes fish.
"Oh really? neither do I!" Arene said, and they both laughed. They agreed that it smelled bad but both of them agreed that they both loved meat.
"But when I think deep down, they have to kill those animals you know.." Cebil said.
Oh gosh. "Yes I know. I feel the same way sometimes. Do you know what I want to be?" Arene said, excited. "I want to be a vet."
"Oh that's wonderful!" Cebil said.
"So I felt that way too sometimes. but see it this way. We raised the animals for us to eat. I mean, that's the reason for living." Arene said.
"Yes. but, thinking it deep down, they still have to be killed.." Cebil said.
Arene giggled. Adoring Cebil's soft spot for animals. "Try not to think too much then." she smiled.

"Arene we have to go." Elli said, but Arene told her in a minute. A few minutes later, CL came and said again, "we really have to go.." But Arene really did not want to leave Cebil alone but she did not have choice. So reluctantly she said slowly to Cebil, "I'm really sorry but.. I have to go..." and she got up slowly but still holding Cebil's hands. "Please take care and think postive always." Arene touched Cebil's stomach one last time and looked her in the eyes.

"Thank You very much. It's been lovely. I am really happy talking to you. Lovely girl." Cebil tried to say a lot more to express her thanks but Arene really didn't want her thanks.

"Please take care Cebil.. I'll.... uh.." she wanted to say she'll come and visit again but she did not want to give any promises. "I won't forget you. I'll come if I can alright..? Please think positive always.. and take care.." Arene squeezed her hands and went out of the room. She looked one last time at Cebil and she was waving, smiling really brightly.

As soon as she stepped out of the house, she could not contain it any longer. She cried then, unable to stand the sadness and feeling guilty, leaving Cebil. On the way home, CL comforted her but she kept on crying.
"We'll visit them again if you want. I'm sure we can~" CL said to her.
"Yeah..but I only want to talk to Cebil," Arene said, laughing and crying still.

Arriving home, Arene only saw 5 minutes of the pantomime but she didn't mind anymore. Arene did her praying and prayed that everything will be alright for Cebil. Cebil's powdery smell still lingered on her hands and it made her cry some more. She really admired Cebil and her courage. She felt sad thinking about Cebil's pain, but her ignorance toward it, like it was nothing. She's more touched when just doing some small talking, she was able to make Cebil happy and cheerful. She hoped she could do more. That was an experience she would never forget.

No.. please no....

Olla world~ Unlike other people, my reason for not updating blog is not STUDYING... in fact, it's laziness~~ oh yeah... well what do u expect?? after 6 long weeks of waking up early and going to and fro from lumut to bandar, now is the time for me to fully enjoy my holiday!! while it lasted.. speaking of which, the reutrn flight is not too far off.. *bawls

Okay! Don't think about it! I will just enjoy the comforts of home and the presence of loved ones for now. teehee~ so watsup with me?

I'm done with my attachment!! so currently in mind are: personal statement (!!), driving lessons, and AS result (*shrieks)!!

-I'm halfway done with my PS, just couple last paragraphs then it's ready to be drafted and re-drafted by my teachers..(when i get back to UK that is).

-Driving lessons? going quite well~ now that im done with my attachment, i'm having lessons everyday to improve and prepare myself for the test...in a WEEK time! =0 hope i'll pass! Amin...

-AS results!! omgod omgod omgod... it's on the 20th i.e. in 2 days-time! this thursday! Please please let me get good grades... I am supposed to call up the school somwhere after lunch (UK time) and asked for my results.. that would certainly be nerve-wrecking.. *faints

So i guess that's it! I do hope these last few weeks will go veerrryyy slow... Amin..

Now, 18 really?

Summer holiday~ summer holiday~ Thought I get to relax at this time of the year, but I guess I was wrong. HAHA. But at least I'm not in class.. Now,that's what matters!

How's my attachment going? everyone keeps asking. well, it's going fine~ I just hate the travelling part, from Lumut to Bandar and back again.. So what am I really doing? Seeing animals for treatment & surgery mostly. (WARNING: u might find the pictures below disturbing...)

Amazing how I find this interesting rather than nauseating. =) I don't actually have the chance to take photos of pets brought in for check-up. since owners were there, i'm afraid of what they might think if I take photos of their beloved pets. =S

Oh oh! I would like to blog about this one day: 13th of July. Monday. It seemed like a bright, ordinary, working day for most people. For me too.. (where actually it's not). Woke up early, went to bandar early morning as usual.. Sis kindly agreed to take on my favour by picking me up and brought me back home in the afternoon. (usually i go back at 6, following my aunt)

Whilst reaching the door.. Went in and said, 'Assalamualaikum!!', expecting my brothers, or someone close to greet me or something. Then suddenly... "SURPRISE!!" And a happy birthday song was sung. I stood there, dumb-strucked, couldn't actually move a muscle -- well maybe except for my eye-muscles, watching more and more people appearing in front of me. Starting with my guy, and friends~ By then i figured out, my sis was in it too. X)

Was told to blow off the candles on the cake ( and a pretty cake indeed!) n I started to act like the host, panicking --- a panick host. lol. Told them to sit down and made sure plates were prepared and drinks were served.

Love Brunei~

Wow okay. I just realised I haven't updated my blog since I arrived home! Haha. I guess that's because I'm not on my laptop all the time since I've been home. Also, I'm just plain lazy, as simple as that. :p

So what's up with me? I was free the 1st week since I've arrived home. The journey back home was very exhausting. What with all the big luggage and travelling. I was in 3 different places on the day before my flight! The morning we had this school trip to Leeds, (which is half an hour or an hour drive by coach), and then back to York and studying as NORMAL, then took the train after school to LONDON + 1 hr tube journey to the hotel near Heathrow! Yes, so to summarise.. a lot of travelling took place, and I suffered lack of sleep for those few days going home.

But, all in all, the tiring journey was worth it, and I am now in Brunei! at home! =DD

The first week I arrived, I just slacked off. Took a rest from all that stress and caught up with my sleep. Entertained myself with Sims 3, playing with family, and meeting my guy and my friends. =) ♥

So the second week? which is this week? I started my work attachment.. FINALLY!! been waiting for it since forever! had to go through so many processes and a very loooong wait. I am currently having my work-experience in the veterinary clinic at Kg.Terunjing in Bandar.

So about it? I LOVE IT! Working alongside the veterinary group, further confirmed my choice of that career. Everyone is funny and friendly, and I've seen treatment of animals, surgery (yikes!), and even went out to MCFARM to observe and treat goats. I love it a lot!!

But the downsides? Well.. I wouldn't mind much if the place is in KB. I have to wake up at 5am every morning to follow my aunt to Bandar every morning. OR, I can choose to stay (i.e.sleepover) at my Grandparents' house which is near to the attachment place. The latter is more convenient, but that also means I can't go back home to Lumut where my family is.. Trust me, I do still feel home-sick after being away from them & comforts of my home for so long...

So yeah! Will be repeating this procedure for 6 weeks. I know, a very long time. but i SERIOSULY need it to get into university. Vet is one of the hardest course, or maybe the hardest course ever! , before medicine, in the UK. Just hope that I can get in.. AMIN!

I'm afraid I don't have much pictures.. I really want to put in pictures of attachment. but my old memory card isn't working properly.. :( No worries though! Since I have a new one now! Many thanks to my beloved granddaddy~ hihi.. =p

Unexpected

Today is the 25th of June. Is it my birthday yet? Of course not! I'm not 18, at least not until the 13th of July.

I have already received few advance presents from my Mounties friends. That's because it might not be possible for them to give me my presents during my actual birthday.

But that's besides the point. I received a very pleasent and shocking surprise tonight. Guess what the Mounties present to me??? NINTENDO DS LITE. and it's PINK!! *shrieks!* How cool is that??

I really couldn't believe it when they gave me it. I was so surprised I cried so hard.. And in response, they too, cried. hee.. I've been wanting it for ages and have been babbling on and on about how I was so gonna buy it in Brunei. But apparently, the Bunei Mounties beat me to it. They chipped in and buy it for me first, in the UK! It was much cheaper in Brunei! Awww... I've never received this kind of present, chipped in by many people.. I was overly-happy that I have to blog about it (where I'm actually supposed to be sleeping.. ) xp

I am feeling really confused tonight. I mean, I'm both happy and sad.. Happy because of this advance and very nice birthday present and the fact that I'm leaving for Brunei 2 days later~ But at the same time, I am also very sad.. Sad that the seniors are leaving us, and the thought that they're not gonna be here again next year.. Sad that Vicky, one of the housestaff, and one of the nicest amongst the gazillion other people in the world I've ever met, is gonna leave us for good. It kind of affects me inside, making me feel uneasy. How can you be very happy, yet sad at the same time..? =/

So anyway, that's all I've gotta say about. Had to get it out of my chest, or I'd burst.. xp Will blog more when we leave school.. (tomorrow!) Oh yeah~

One more week to go!

I am going home soon!!!!!!!! My flight is on the 27th of June and will be arriving on Sunday morning the 28th. I can't wait to be home!

Actually my school ends on the 3rd of July. But we're going home a week early. Had some problems though but they were all sorted out. =/

So anyway, as Summer holiday approaches, we are getting busier in The Mount. I am looking forward to our 'Summer Rock Concert' as we are performing! Will put photos or videos if there will be any. =)

Expect my blog to be updated more frequently when I'm home. =D

Foundation Weekend!

Yesterday, Saturday, was foundation weekend~ It's an annual charity event hold by our school. Every class contributes for it, doing whatever they want, for the sake of charity. Ranging from carwash to facepainting and various kind of stalls. We, Brunei Mounties, came up with a cool idea: Brunei Stall!! We sell Brunei local food and souvenirs, brought by us who went back to Brunei for Easter holiday. Oh also brought in DDR for people to play. College house provides one. ^^

To start the day, we had a meeting for an hour plus. It was very formal and College were told to dress very formally too. New headgirl and team, students' awards and College 2 leavers biography were the highlights of the meeting.

Liverpool!

Last weekend, plus Monday, (1st-4th of May) we had Maybank Holiday! Dunno wat it's supposed to mean but, we got Saturday, Sunday and Monday off! And we're practically kicked out of our boarding house again.. Haha.. Nah~ I mean, this kind of holiday, we can't stay in boarding house (since da house staff want da days off too..) so, we either go back to our so-called 'guradian' house (brunei hall lah~) or somewhere else as long as we get out of da college house.

Sooo~ Me, Dilah, Chia Yi, Sadrina and our seniors Dina and Viven, decided to travel to liverpool instead! We had a really fun trip!! One of the things i love was da apartment I found! Booked for it last minute online and luckily there's somewhere for us to stay! It was far from da city centre though but it is absolutely MARVELOUS..! Like seriously. If I am to have a house, I would want to follow the design of that room. =D

UK againn~ When's Brunei?? x(

Hi everyone!

I'm back in UK, safe and sound~ =) The first week of school had been a stressful week for me. The same goes to U2 pipol in SMSA jua lah. You guys are having prelim and we're having mocks. And when U2 will be having actual AS in May, so am I!! So gambate everyone!! Aja aja hwaiting!

Mock was.. hard.. like, very.. T.T.. I really do hope actual AS will be easier.. *sigh.. But anyways, Mock is done finally! Finished the papers today! (I sat for three papers today.. yes, THREE!!) Soo.. Might as well relax first before starting to study again..

So, what am i going to talk about? Hmmm.. As u guys may have noticed, I don't update my blog as frequent as I did when I was back home in Brunei.. I always get my hands full here in UK.. seriously. I don't get much free time for myself. But life here is great though, don't get me wrong. Everything is balanced here. They balance study, and leisure and sports. So it's not so bad.. =)

I really am looking forward to go back BRUNEI!! Haha! i know i know I just left home like, a week before? But already, I miss Brunei a lot. I miss my home, family and friends esp.. Summer is in uh.. 2 months time? Bought my plane tickets already! Gona make a countdown eh for it. x)

So yeah, not really much to talk about. I bet I bore readers to death just by ranting here non-stop. I usually upload photos in my post.. Hmm.. Do I have any recent photos..? Nahh.. don't think so.. Since arriving UK I'm less than active snapping photos around. And too busy.. xp

Saturday- 18th April

Saturday was my last day at my home in Lumut. So yeah, I packed my things.. (unwillingly) and wasted my time on lappy mostly. Then we went to Bandar. We spent the night at my nini's.

Friday-17th April

Friday was prolly the best day of the last few days. I spent my Friday swimming in BSRC, with my guy! ^^y

So after Friday prayer, Ajiz stopped by my house, then later we'll go BSRC together.

Mcm rumahnya sendiri dah. xD

After I changed and having done our prayers, we're on our way to BSRC! It was around 4pm when we left home. My youngest bro, Zharif, tagged along.

Nice weather for a day-out~

BSRC at last. All the way in the car I was freaking out. I was worried whether my brother and I are allowed to go in, as it's been forever since I went to BSRC. My membership card expires ages ago so Mom gave me hers instead. But I was still worried. Ajiz told me not to worry.. He didn't have to worry as he has his own membership card. >=(

But then, i worried for nothing. We were allowed to go in. So, it's time for swimming~

Sorry, no pictures of us swimming since my camera is not water-proofed so I left it in my bag.

We swam for 1 hour only since at 5pm swimming lesson is starting. So after that, we went for food instead. Oh yes, FOOOOD~~ My favourite~

Last family night-out...

Went to wywy last Sunday. It's the last Sunday with my family before I'm going back UK...

(updated): 13th/4 was my dad's birthday. We would be celebrating if he's still around.. I remembered being very excited going back to Brunei since I could celebrate both daddy's and zikri's birthday. Dear daddy would have been 51 today. But as sis said, he's in a better place now and it is true.

So in memories of him, I would share some things about my dad.

He's the best dad that ever lived. The best man ever lived in my life. Some people envied me for having a father like him, and all I can do is being very thankful to Allah for providing my family and I the best dad who had raised me since I was born.

Daddy's priorities were us, his family. He never failed to put us first and always think of our needs and wants. I remembered in the last few months I spent my time with daddy, he bought me so many stuff. I guess there were the last few gifts he could give me before he went.

I told daddy two years ago I would really want the scholarship to UK. And he said I could do it of course, but reminded me that I have to pray to Allah and doa.. So that's what I did. But he, at the same time, prayed a lot for me too, and as a result, i got it.

Then, the process of being sent to UK began. We went back and forth to Lumut and Bandar for interviews, talks, paperworks and all. Daddy had to skip work but he never complained. He helped me with my personal statement, gave me hope when I almost lose it, and be there with me through all the hardships. Despite all that, I was also busy with planning prom and all. He understood and he helped me with it, even paid for the place initially..

So, it's time for me to go.. My parents went to UK with me to help me settle down. They went ahead of me to York (where I lived now) while I was enjoying in London. They went early to see the place I'm gona spend my two years in. They bought me everything to make sure I settle down. Then I arrived York when school started, and found out that, everything was already provided for me. I have the best parents ever.

Then, it's time for them to go. It was also the last day I see my daddy face-to-face.. Goodbyes were brief, like, very. I hugged them goodbye just for few minutes and that's it. I watched them go, never knowing that it was the last time I'd be seeing my dad..

I kept having this thinking lately.. Do I want this? Do I want to be abroad studying? I really want to be near my family now then I asked myself. But then, after thinking back of everything daddy had done for me, he wanted me to succeed. I remembered him saying, he's happy in where I live now. He believed in me and said that he didn't have to worry about me as I am responsible. But inside, I knew he wanted me near him, near my family. He even said that before I went. But he just kept quiet, because he knew it was my dream.

Daddy was kind, generous, alim, supportive, loving, caring, funny, and just a very good man.. I regret of what could have happen. Things like, daddy teaches me to drive, daddy sharing the happiness when I graduate, daddy's support when I first work, or daddy's there when I get married and so much more. But I know I have to accept what happened. The memories with him are engraved in my heart and I would always cherish them. I continuosly will pray for you daddy, and hoped that we will meet sometime in another world. Amin..

I miss you dear daddy.. I'll try to take care of mummy and siblings without you. I love you daddy.

Last Friday, My childhood friends came to my house! Mimi and Rynie~ My bestfriends since SAS (st.angela's). We used to share lots of things together~ So on Friday, it's like, we went back in time, gossiping and sharing stuff together like we used to do everyday last time in SAS. x)

School Again~!

Haha I did not expect I would go to school today. It all began when Nab texted me last night, "Iyan, mo ke skulah sok?" Tarus2 gi tu. Haha~ So hey, y not? I miss my friends too. Planned to go Saturday but Thursday is fine~ But guess what, we went in our school uniform today! HAHAHA!

I was nervous at first. I mean, technically we can't do that.. But then we didn't want to attract attention that much like last Saturday. So yeah, we just tried our luck..

So, woke up early (again.. T.T) and got ready for school. Luckily, my uniform is still there, intact and untouched. I thought I've burnt it but... haha..

After picking nab up, arrived school at around 8am i guess. N we were real nervous! but first impression was alright~ nobody really noticed us. So we went to the usual ps area but our friends weren't there. I figured it was registration time that's why. So we sat there, with books open in front of us. Yep, we brought works. HAHA~ We didn't really work, just as a cover. xD

Then after that, some of our friends came. But they were the members of the MPPs about to be down-graded. hehe.. Nahh~ Just that they gave the title to the U1 this year. Great job guys! =D

The different thing about today is, we didn't just stay at one place. We roamed around the form 6th block, only half afraid since we were in school uniforms. And met people after people there! There's that moment in front of chem lab, I said hi/hugged someone every 5 seconds! Haha. And I was practically standing at the chemistry lab door and greeting everyone who's going in, like as if I'm welcoming friends to my house. But after spotting Mr.Roland, went out ASAP.

And the day progressed normally~ Did the things we usually do dulu with Nab and Khalish, Khalish was having her free that time. Across the assembly area downstairs, we hooked hands and did the feet-thing, where u go right left right left. Ayy it's too hard to explain. It brings back sweet old memories, where we, The CastAway Crew and some other friends, arms in arms, did that from one end to the other. There were lots of us back then, standing in line, silly-walking across the area. (Awww~~)

Then went to the canteen. And when I thought no one would notice, I was wrong! Dex and Khalish told us "Everyone's watching you." Figured that out already so to avoid feeling wormy, I concentrated on Dex's story / just stared at the ground while walking.

So back to the story, ordered Teh Tarik shake (nab n khalish did) n we waited for a while.. and waited a while longer.. n it's just taking too long.. Knowing Khalish, she gave the man a good lecture. HAHA! Tried to calm Khalish down but she's cool~ N guess what that man said? "Kalau sabar nunggu, dapat laki hensem" or something like dat. lol.

While we waited for them to finish making that drink, we reminisce bout the past. About HKD n stuff.. N OMG!! Speaking of the devil....! HAHA! We saw HKD coming to school. Khalish noticed first. So we did what we normally do... *kirai2 to CastAway Crew. But it lasted only for a while as HKD went poof in the air. Wonder if it was just our imagination. xD

So half of the day gone, and I went down, to wait to be picked up by mom. In the canteen, met with few more people and my childhood friend, Mimi! Awww~ It's been such a long time... We chatted all the way until my mom came. She hadn't changed a bit. ^^

Then my mom arrived and we stopped by SAS school, to pick up my youngest bro. Oh SAS.. where I grew up.. It brought a warm glow to my heart, remembering the childhood memories I had there. =)

So I went home, happy and contented, with a sharp stomach pain and an aching throat but was physically and emotionally happy and tired as well.. I didn't eat the whole day in school except for my tiny breakfast in car. Din't really feel like eating in school today when hanging out with my friends. And my throat hurts as a result of shrieking everytime i met an old friend. My voice sounds weird now.. =/

Right after arriving home, after making waffles for my brother (just like I used to do~ ^^ ), jumped straight in bed and slept for a good 4 hours. haha! Wasted time again. No works done today.. =_=

Coming to SMSA was like, going back in time. So many familiar faces and I missed to be surrounded by people I belong with.. I really do miss the old times, and somehow wished I could go back.. But there's nothing i can do about it. I move on with life,but not forgetting to cherish the past memories~ =)..

p/s: I would like to apologize to Dex, for not listening to ur story sampai abis. We need a time alone girl. We, are having a date. xp *kirai2

Goodbye Vaio, Hello Dell!>

On Sunday, went to the Mall in search for a new laptop. It was just a short trip. Had lunch (Brunch to be exact) and met Dex for a while since she was there too, in the arcade, in the Karaoke Box to be exact. hee~

So, There's a Computer Exhibition in the Mall and is still going on i think. Lots of different brands and colours.. But the one that keeps on attracting me is that pink VAIO, a new version. Well, there's not much difference compared to my current (brokened) pink VAIO, but the inside is all pink too.. *sigh.. Yes, i'm a sucker for pink. Especially that pink VAIO. What with it's cover all metallic light pink.. *drools.. just my taste.. In addition to that, it matches my pink mobile phone... So if I were given a choice to not think rationally, I would have pick that VAIO pink (new brand!) in an instance..!

But no.. Things don't always go my way in this life. There are other things to consider.. important things.. In terms of money and quality. But yeah, money esp.. So heck, I just go for Dell Pink then. It's my second choice anyways.. =/

So we went around the ground floor, looking for pink Dell (mom occasionally had to drag me away from pink VAIO) but every store selling Dell we went to is out of pink stock! At least, the model I want is out of pink stock! Noooo~~ This isn't happening...! But just as I was about to give up, there's this one small computer stall, hidden right beside the escalator, which apparently, had a pink Dell (the one i want) in stock! Weeheee~ I was so happy I could almost kiss the chinese dude working there! Well, almost. xp

So after considering and discussing over and over again with mom, we finally bought the laptop. And here I am, blogging with my new laptop..

My VAIO and my DELL now. I know i'm a pink freak.. So watcha gona do bout it??

*sigh.. Funny, you should be happy if you were bought a new laptop.. But sadly, i'm not. Why? cuz i love my vaio pink so much (mentioned this before) and I've only used it for uh.. 1 yr + ? bought it in December 2007.. It's not brokened completely, just that the cost of repair is too much, better buy a new one. Buying a new one wastes a good amount of money too.. So that's why I'm unhappy..

So about my pink vaio, where is it now? Tuuu naah~ On top of the cupboard, alone.. forgotten... I still love u pink vaio!! My mom told me we would try to repair it in KL, who knows it'd be cheaper. I'm not gona throw it away! Na-uh! So for now.. I would leave it here in Brunei... So long dear vaio.. U had been a good device and friend.. x'(

So say 'hi' to Dell now! I believe we will be good friends.. xD

Plan went wrong but the day turned out alright~♥

Yesterday's plan was to actually meet my friends and to support them in the race on the Sport's Day.. But yesterday didn't go as planned. Nope, went terribly wrong. Lol.. These are pictures of me and Aisyah, excited for it (before the incident):

Well.. here's what happened.. So I went there with Aisyah. Right after being dropped off, we were confronted by two, i assume discipline, teachers, n were told off. Told off for a stupid reason. Haa~ Were lectured about rules and regulations of school etc. Apparently, they do not allow outsiders to come to the school's events,eventhough I was an ex wanting to visit (later on i found out, there WERE outsiders after all.....) We stood there listening patiently waiting for Aisyah mom to pick us back up and escape from this disaster.

Suddenly I was no longer in the mood to go to the Sports Day. We went back to Aisyah's home, frustrated and bewildered. Do they know I come to Brunei only two or three times a year?? It's not always I get to hang out with my friends.. And now that I'm here, I was stopped from meeting my friends instead. So there, our day was ruined early morning.

I was in a very terrible mood then. But didn't want to waste the day, we tried to make the best out of it instead. Went to Soon Lee and bought snacks, a packet of mee sedap to pig on while watching DVD. Our enthusiasm only lasted until after we cooked two packs of mee sedap. We watched DVD only half-way and we didn't pig on the snacks (too bad) but instead, we slept the frustration away. I was tired.. I woke up early just for the sports day and it turned out bad.

In Brunei, so far...

Nope, cudnt sleep.. Why? someone suggested it's a sleeping disorder im suffering. maybe he's right. or maybe not. cuz i can sleep juz fine in UK. more than fine. i was practically dead.

Whoops, touchy subject there. Anyway, it's 3.15 am in the morning. N yeah, i'm still awake. I plan to go to sleep though but hey, why waste time sleeping? lol

I think I'll just babble here then. That's what u do for having a blog. I miss having a blog, so i create one. Ta-dah!!

*cough**cough* (boh teikut dex style xP) anyway, back to da point. Sooo~ I've been here uhh.. let's see.. 4 days? no-- 5 days since it's Tuesday already.

-Flight back home-
The journey here was not that bad. I went with my 4 mounties buddy and met Mahirah and Zati from Headington too! Seemed that they went home together with us! weee~ the more the merrier. I slept and watched movies mostly. Watched Twilight, Madagascar 2, Night at the Museum and Twilight again. Haha. yes i do still love twilight. so much! xD

-Arrival-
I was like a kid whilst arriving airport. Seriously. As soon as the glass door came to view, I couldn't help but lookout for my family. N gosh the wait for our luggage was freaking long! And hey! I think I saw my brothers!! Not only me but Zaf were also restless. We saw our family~ "Let's not wait for the bags shall we?"

Then me n zaf ran towards the glass door and jumped up and down yelling, ignorant of people staring at us. Those are my brothers alright, and my two cousins. But they weren't even looking! Neither did Zaf's family! We went back to the waiting luggage area, disappointed. After finally3 heaving up our heavy luggage (2 in my case) we rushed outside. Oooh my family~! But hey! Y is this man in uniform waving at me like he was asking me to stop?

"Yan, check dulu" my friend said. Oh dang it. So reluctantly, i side-tracked to the left but never taking my eyes off the glass door looking for my family.
"Ani apa ni? Buka dulu."
"Huh? Oh.." I groaned silently, while reaching for the keys to unlock my smaller luggage. After he checked it he allowed me to go. "Happy?" I said. haha.. nah dun really said it out loud.

So wheee~ finally, my dear family, I hugged them and got teased. as usual. But heck, i love em. Then before we go, the mounties' parents held a short meeting (brief 'his' and 'oh anii c atu ni') while we the mounties hugged each other goodbye.

-The weekends-

Oh wow, elaborated too much on the arrival. Oh well.. So anyway, the weekends, we went to mall. Oh gosh.. i felt kinda happy n weird at the same time.. i mean.. people around me, they speak my language.. n at the restaurant, i didn't have to speak English. I sat eating there in wonder, observing people around me more than i did before. Bruneians.. Typical Bruneian.. Couples holding hands. Families eating together. Guys staring, uh.. slash that. So yeah, i miss it. i mean, i miss Brunei. =)

My main aim was to fix my lappy..... yes, my vaio pink lappy was brokened. How? beyond repair... it's the LCD monitor that's brokened. Everything is fiiineee... (uh well, not to mention the frequent problem with sound system..*ahem*) No it's not my fault! I keep telling them it's accidental.. i pressed the monitor while trying to lift it.. n kebabom~ it's brokened.. The repairer said it's beyond repair (wat kind of a repairer r u? >=( ) and they can only replaced my LCD monitor completely.. for how much?!?!? $800??? r u kidding me?!

*sigh... So my mom told me, "bali saja tah laptop baru" n i was like, "adeh.. pikir murah..." besides i love my vaio pink so much.. it's very ideal 4 me.. we're compatible..made for each other... but replacing LCD and buying a laptop.. the latter worth more.. Fine then.. I'll buy a new one.. So this coming Sunday i think, we'll be going to mall, again, to look for a new lappy. My cuz said there'll be computer expo starting then, so yeah.. so gona buy one. (but2 my vaio....T.T)

So wat should i get... not another vaio definitely. my mom said to go for Dell.. fine.. but wat colour should i choose? told my mom if i'm choosing a colour, it would be PINK. but nooo~ my mom said u had a vaio which is PINK already so buy another colour. "Red atu lawa jua.." she said. I agreed.. but i know im gona regret it later. y? cuz i love pink!! T.T Ay.... im making a fuss over something small.. the late night sleep must have gotten into me.. So gime some advice pipol. what do u think? hihihi~ *high

-Monday-

Yes, everyone starts schooling today, i mean, yesterday.. n what did i do? slept at 2 am n woke up at 12 pm. Had my breakfast and went back to bed. Stayed in bed watching 'Fullhouse' till 4pm. If my mom didn't drag me out of bed, i would still be in there in my pj. So at 4pm, showered, pray, den went to pick up my brothers n off to Seria.

Oh Seriaaaa~~ Long time no seee~ i cut my hair today! it was shorter than how i wanted it to be.. but oh well.. that happens everytime.. but i like my new hairdo tho.

So yes. that's all i've been doing since i'm in Brunei. Nope, i haven't meet my friends yet.. I juz came here n skool reopens.. T.T In addition to that, I have loads n loads n loads of works!! Seriousl! i'm not kidding! I need to study too since we're having our exam as soon as my school reopens.. T.T Glad i finished fullhouse today so i can concentrate on working tomorrow. not looking forward to it.. Wat i'm lookig forward is to meet my friends.. Uwaaaaaaaaa~~~I really wana meet my friends.... *sobs*

Anyway.. i need to sleep in order to work tomorrow. Sorry for the massive words.. I'll post in some pictures tomorrow. =)
